We take our responsibilities very seriously, to manage the estates for their own and the community's benefit, whilst securing them – and the wildlife and commercial enterprises they support – for future generations.

In managing almost 40,000 acres of wild moorland, forestry and farms, we are constantly aware of our responsibility to balance social, economic and environmental aspects to meet the needs of the current generation without compromising the needs of future generations. This means ensuring that everything we do now – from planting trees to raising game to house building – is done in such a way that it can be constantly renewed and regenerated, as naturally as possible.
